With modern prototyping techniques (3D Printers, high-speed PCB turnaround, FPGA/CPLD/etc.) it is very easy to slap a working model together of almost anything. Getting it into production and out the door in a volume that keeps pricing reasonable is another matter altogether.
What you have here is a beefed-up Q1, which just saw a price drop to $1000, which is still almost three times the price of a 770. Besides, I can't stand Windoze on anything.
Just because it "looks" good, does NOT mean it is good. Microsoft puts a lot of Eye Candy into their Windows platform, don't they? And, for any Operating System of Microsoft, you buy a Subscription, not an Operating System. And Microsoft will never release their source code nor will they tell you what Windows is doing in the background.
