I connect via WiFi. I tried checking for updates from the application manager, but still nothing.

Check that you have the Nokia repositories enabled in Application manager!

ln -s dropbear.osso-RX-34.2007-10.tgz dropbear.2008-29.tgz
ln -s utelnetd.osso-RX-34.2007-10.tgz utelnetd.2008-29.tgz
Then it will recognize newer initfs.

Also it might be wise to backup current bootmenu.conf before accepting system update.
Code:
cp /mnt/initfs/bootmenu.conf /media/mmc2/
then you just copy it to initfs_flasher folder and run initfs_flash and you are back to business, Chinook from card still boots fine.
Could someone give us a quick step by step ?

Great!

There's one thing I don't understand about the upgrade:

So it wants to upgrade xserver-xomap to.. the same version?

That's my sources.list

Well, I'll press Y anyway. Just curious.

I clicked on update and it went through all steps except that I had to reboot it myself. After that I checked About Product in Control Panels and it still shows OS2008- Version 4.2008.23-14 instead of 4.2008.30-2.
Did I do anything wrong??? Can someone verify that pls!

In the application manager, there is also a "rtcom-beta-os2008" (v2.4) listed.
I cant instal it because "telepathy-haze (>=0.2.0.1collabora1) is missing...
How to fix that ?

Thanks !
