I'm looking heavily at the Mugen Power 3600mah battery. Sure, I could charge it off my portable 4xAA battery extender, but why have to haul that thing out all the time if the battery in the unit can last the better part of a full day under continuous use? lol. I like the idea of a 3600mah battery that can go almost 16+ hours at a crack under continuous use. Ok, sure, it's a tad bigger than the standard battery (Ok, quite a bit bigger), but again, that doesn't bother me as it adds just 1/3rd more width to the device.

EDIT: Opps, didn't pay attention to the links that Deluxe posted. Those are the same batteries I'm considering getting.

I'd like to back up your assertion--I have one of those A battery extenders and although it blinks and the Nokia says that it is charging, it doesn't actually get much of an extension to its life and then the extender gets really hot and eventually, I'd guess, it will probably become bad from the heat dissipation.

My recommendation is to avoid using these with the N8x0.

Tekkeon MP1550 w 4 X 2700 mAH batteries easily drive the tablet, see here, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=20117.

And it is the ONLY one I found can even drive a 160 G HD continuously for 6+ hrs, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...t=22187&page=6, thread #1 and #53

Dude, they make 2700mah batteries?? The highest I've seen are 2500mah AA's. I should know. I've got 2 sets of them. And I also vouch for the MP1550. I've got one myself. Not as rugged as I expected, but it'll do the job.

Ok, I've given the MP1550 a full spin around the block and I have to give it two thumbs up. It feels a bit flimsy when you're first working with it, but once you get the batteries in it and start using it, it feels pretty normal. I tested it on my N810 and went from just under 2 hrs power to a full charge on a set of 4 2500mah AA's.

The battery meter is a bit odd in the way it behaves, but the unit seems to know when the batteries are too low and shuts itself off. Otherwise, I like it. I would definitely recommend it.

Hmm... Google of 2700mah AA shows over 1,000,000 hits. The first link is labeled 'SANYO Industrial Grade 2700mAh AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries'.

Yup, they exist :-)

There is a Suspend-To-RAM application for NIT. I recommend to consider n800-s2ram (it works on N810, at least on mine) provided you keep a bug in mind which makes it use 100% CPU. Killing it, and restarting it, solves the problem.
