Its having trouble unmounting your internal card because it is in use.. that usually means the install-tools.deb is installed to the internal card; not on the flash.
It could also mean you have a terminal, or any application open that is accessing something on the internal card.
Make sure the .deb is on flash; and if necessary - run the following command as root:
Code:
umount -l /media/mmc2
ETA: Except in this circumstance i wouldnt ever use the -l option unless u know what u are doing...
You will download install-tools.deb to the FLASH.. not the internal memory/MMC because it will need to USE the internal memory to write the data to.. it has to reformat the internal memory and remount it meaning if you try and install from it you will end up with a failure.
The best thing is to install the install-tools.deb to you default Documents directory while in Flash.. make sure the external card is NOT IN the n810.. then install the install-tools.. during the process you may see some Memory card warnings and stuff while the partitions are done.. and then it copies/clones your flash to your internal memory.
Then you can reboot and boot into the internal MMC... and put in your external Card.
And yes.. look in my sig.. I have Diablo in Flash, cloned to internal 2GB MMC, and the full Debian Deblet installed on my external MMC.
Excellent instructions. I did everything but got a "memory card corrupted" error. Now what?
I had problems getting the SSU update to install with dual boot installed on the internal SD. I reflashed to the pre-SSU update and successfully installed the SSU update. Now installing install-tools.deb does not show a boot menu. Help..........
actually thats normal... did the install fail? usually just wait and give it time and it'll say Install successful..
You must be a magician. I rebooted, retried & it was successful. Then I reinstalled the external card & rebooted. But shouldn't I have a bootmenu? It merely booted and looks exactly the same as before. Is there something else I didn't do? MMC2 is empty.
Thanks, Bun. I found the fix to the problem. Control Panel reported my 810's internal card had only 119-mb. Formatting it via File Manager recovered its 2-gb. I also discovered Application Catalog reported the install .deb as being installed even though it failed. Uninstalling it and re-running the install .deb was successful. All's well.

After installing Install-tools, and having everything work correctly, I have deleted the deb and uninstalled it from app manager (to save space). Is it safe to delete the /root/install-tools directory? I'm not sure if this is just used for installation, but there are 5 megs of files in there.
I have a sd of 2Gb and install the Install-tools and the Formati iso everything but when Fuye to see the space in the memory of dispocitivo designed only 294Mb and I'm booting from the SD is assumed that you should have at least 1.3Gb in order to install the KDE thing that I do not have
the dispocitivo was recently updated with the devil and not had applications installed
I can not HACR for this to happen
