mine does.

i experienced two bugs so far (affecting 3 mails in total), filed one of them, voted for the other, and am happy with it otherwise.

my dear, even beloved outlook crashes every 2-3 weeks at the office and deletes mails. so what? no software is free of bugs.

YOU experienced 2 bugs SO far.

and your justification is: "well theirs has bugs, so"

very good.

what i see is a lack of feedback. basically that one do not see the dev(s) take the time to enter some post or other telling people its being worked on or asking of people can try something to see if it triggers the bug in question or not.

one is then left with filing a report and waiting for the "black box" to spit out some update, see if it fixed the problem, and if not bump the report and wait some more...

its classical cathedral vs bazaar imo...

I agree with you.

But it's also the basic COMMON SENSE of TESTING the app the way an enduser might use it BEFORE putting it out there. I am a PC tech with my own biz and over 650 clients and growing. I know from experience that very few problems are unique. It doesn't take much to reproduce obvious bugs

Works just fine here.

Quick recommendation, though, if you're planning on getting your issue fixed faster, drop the attitude before you go to bugzilla. ******** like this will just get you ignored (for good reason, engineers have better things to do than listen to idiots ***** and moan) and, at worst, could make bugs get fixed more slowly (engineers are people too, they typically don't respond well to verbal abuse).

See, but that's just it, if the bugs were always obvious and easy to reproduce, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED. But these bugs typically aren't obvious and easy to reproduce. Many of them have to do with unique server and client setups (not all mail servers are created equal, in fact, most of them pretty much suck) that are difficult and time consuming to duplicate, and even harder to reproduce bugs with.

If you really knew from experience, they you wouldn't say idiotic things like this. Clearly you don't, though.

given that his is based on a fully downloaded mail, and mine is based on headers only, im not sure its a server issue. but beyond that...

Another jerkoff technogeek loser speaks. Please, pal, go back to playing Halflife and leave the thinking to the adults. Your mom is calling from downstairs, time to take out the trash.

Don't EVER tell me how or if or where or when to speak, comprende, loser? oooooh, I cow down to the almight "engineers" please, they couldn't engineer a lionel. Peabrain, it's losers like you that make me sick, and perpetrate the world of computers as they are. Go soak your head. When we want your opinion, we'll beat it out of you. loser

It's NOT a "server issue" Once again, the almighty "engineers" s/w developers typical SOP of looking to blame everyone and anyone else for THEIR incompetence. It ALL falls into the SAME pattern over and over.

Again, I DO my job, and I expect others to do THEIRS. I don't write the software, that is not MY job. But I expect a product I purchase to do what I purchase it for. Just as those who hire me expect me to do what they pay me for. I have lost both e-mails and time due to the "engineer's" incompetence. and that annoys the heck out of me, ESPECIALLY since the mail under Chinook WORKED fine. Just as with S/W developers, they feel the need to mess with what works to prove their knowledge

Don't get me wrong, but this sort of comments make we vote for a "No Thanks" button.

You pissed of by the modest?
So was I, the tablet wasn't free I payed good money for it, but getting personal doesn't fix a thing.

I was just responding in kind to an idiot. Sorry, it's people like him, and posts like his that just burn my buns. It pains me that I have to live in the same world as such *****s. It brings the entire bell curve down. This thread was proceeding fine until mr. know-it-all who knows nothing board geek chimed in. I guess he was taking a break from Commando 4. I apologize to the others for my tone, it just hits a chord. What I wouldn't give for the time back in my life wasted on other's incompetence
