I'd like to add some fonts to the server but mmmhhh... first I'm missing a lot of tools (some I've rebuilt like x11utils) and secondly I have the feeling that these fonts are hard coded somewhere. At least I can't find any font database.

I'm talking of old font system core X, not about fontconfig.
Any information online on how the xomap is built?
