Yep, mine too. It'd be nice to finally see it change after seeing the same thing for over a week.

They changed my order date from the 14th to the 17th this morning. I wonder if that means anything??

I just got off the phone with Nokia-USA, they still don't have any 770s in stock. She said that they should be getting a shipment on Friday, nothing confirmed.

Here we go again. I called the USA support to check on my order(since it's 11-17) and i was told it may be another 7 to 10 Days. Nokia also pulled the order form from the Web and its back to the Available Soon Mode. The Wait continues........

Well, I'll go with the info that I got on Monday which was that if it doesn't ship out by Friday, they'll at least know for sure when they will have it in stock. Either way, if units don't ship out this week, the 11/17 date that phone reps were quoting and the online site was showing under the "Available On" heading when you went to checkout was another mistake.

Being they're releasing a geek-clique device, they're dealing with the kinds of people that wrote to George Lucas after being unsatisfied with the conclusion of the StarWars saga - - but with a more realistic point of view, I just wish they'd acknowledge the device exists beyond pictures and flash animations. They know there's a bunch of frothing people wanting to throw money over to them, howabout just telling us straight up "Production lines are slow, we're looking at another 2-4 weeks and expect several hundred units". Not even specific, just ... something.

We placed two separate orders on Monday PM about 20 minutes apart. Checking out the status on the NokiaUSA web site shows two different status conditions.

The 1st order placed says: Order Processed/Order Open; Not shipped
The 2nd order placed says: Order Open; Not shipped

We'll make a "shout out" if anything changes.

Like the Army, eh? Hurry up and wait...and wait...and wait...

It'll happen eventually and still be worth it, I'm sure!

    Follow Up...

Just called. Got word that both our orders are in the "back order status" situation despite having different web form presentations. We were instructed to "be patient and watch for the email confirmation that the order was filled and is then trackable". And no indication on when that might be.

Perhaps the old adage, "a watched pot never boils" applies here. I think I'll just mentally prepare for 2-4 week wait and be happier if they pop out sooner.

If it werent for the development editions, I would have questioned the existance of the 770 ... They arent even on ebay!

According to a news report online:

Click here to find out more!
Nokia announced that it has started deliveries of the first device in its new Internet Tablet product category, the Nokia 770.

What's interesting is when I call the order desk they still say "a shipment hasn't come in."

    hrm. :/
