    Anyway to stream music from pc remotely?

    Am trying to stream my music from pc remotely to nokia n810, are there any media servers recommended an client for the n810 or web based

    You can stream music, photos, videos...it has your server machine recompress them for streaming. You can also do a file browser to see any file you have shared out on the server and download it straight to your tablet. It goes through the web and can be used from any computer, Nokia tablets included.

    You can also look into TVersity whichI prefer over Orb myself.

    Both do what they say they do but I think quality and rendering speed is better in TVersity (imo).

    i looked at TVersity but seems ther stream is open to anyone and cannot be protected

    tversity is open in the home network, but a password can be set for internet use.

    I'd tend toward mpd and icecast, but I haven't done it.

    As #5 stated, you can password protect the service and change the default port for added precautions (I use it with a password on alternate port).

    if using tvsity remotely what does on euse as a clinet, cause when i tried to use the web broswer the server keeps on disconnecting on me, but runs fine if browsed from windows or iphone.

    I just started using mpd and it works great but the audio plays to the server's sound card, so it won't stream to the IT AFAIK.

    I use TwonkyVision on our Linux server and it streams very well to Canola2.
