I'd like to thank all the developers involved with the irreco project.
I installed it last night with a mythtv backend, it works flawlessly, the GUI is very user friendly and comfortable to set up.
I haven't seen any mythtv pre-configured remotes but later noticed that it's possible to create your own and then upload it (would be good if you create a mythtv category I think) so I shall do so pretty soon.

I'm sorry, you cant. Not yet anyway. The current upload / download feature can only upload and download IR control codes to be used with backends. It can not upload or download the graphical layouts you have created using the remote editor.
Though, we are thinking how to properly add support for graphical layout upload and download.
So it might be possible one day. But not yet, sorry
* Button images can now be selected from themes
* Wallpapers are organized by theme
* Modifications to theme hierarchy
User must upgrade old themes for them to work with Irreco 0.6.4
Irreco-backend-mythv is dropped off from irreco metapackage. This is because irreco-backend-telnet can control mythv also, so separate backend for mythtv is no longer needed. For users who prefer the old mythtv backend, it is still available at maemo extras repository.
New commandline backend!
With irreco-backend-commandline user can run commandline commands and shellscripts from irreco. For example user can assign one button to launch web browser to see tv schedule or to run script which starts your favourite mediplayer, mythv etc.
Can anyone tell me what error 3 is? I think it's a connection problem. I'm trying to use the VLC interface command using the example given.
vlc -I rc --rc-host :4443 --extraintf wx
It worked just fine on my Linux desktop but it won't work on my Linux laptop. I made sure to setup the right IP and port in irreco. The only differences besides computer is that at home I was using my home network. Now I am college and both my laptop and my tablet are both on the network I personally have here. (IP address 192.168.1.100 for tablet, and etc..etc.. .110 for laptop).
Also what command do I use for Windows? Do I just use the command line and change directory to the vlc directory then use the same command but instead of vlc use vlc.exe?
Edit: Somehow got the Linux side working, still don't know what to do for the Windows side.

Thanks, though I was trying to setup the VLC telnet backend (in Windows). I already have it setup in irreco and it works fine in Linux. But I can't seem to get the backend to connect to Windows (I've even tried turning off the firewall).
Though I still have to get around to setting up foobar with telnet support.
Is anyone having hesitation when using lirc backend? Before last update system was so responsive. Now I get Can not open socket messages. If I click OK then the button again it works well untill it sits idle for 10 mins or so (till next comercial comes up).

Lirc backend source is untouched.
Only compilation files have been changed, so Lirc backend survives through Diablo autobuilder.
Lirc 0.6.0 version should work just fine with latest version of irreco-core, so you can try that. If by "last", you refer to update from 0.6.0 to 0.6.1
