Hi all,

I am running my application in N810. I found that after few seconds N810 backlight is turning off , again i had to tap on the tablet to turn the light on . Can anyone help me to keep backlight turned on as long as my application is running.

Thanks
Navap

On my N800 I have installed "Advanced Backlight". When I go to the control panel, and select "display" I can set the backlight timer to 1440 which is 24 hours. Then on battery power the display will not time out.

Thanks Den,
Is there any library available to turn on/off backlight programatically?

There's a number of apps that do this, though I haven't looked at it. Maemo mapper and some media players, at least, and there were some issues (now resolved) with powerlaunch support for it.

Hopefully that's a good start to figure it out...

In C you'd call osso_display_blanking_pause() every 50 seconds or so. See libosso API.
