Yesterday,I installed Fennec and Xulrunner,wanted to try them.
I don't like them .but when I uninstall the Xulrunner,It shows"Unable to uninstall Xulrunner!"
I want to know how to unstall it.

I installed xulrunner 1.9.1a2 pre after the lastest version was installed
this downgraded the intalled version to the older version
I was then able to unintall xulrunner
This was all done with the Application Manager
Does this make sense?

try this(it work for me):
open your xterm,
sudo gainroot
apt-get remove xulrunner

Have you tried that recently, though, Douwen?
With the current version of xulrunner and fennec, they messed up their packaging so badly that its uninstall script crashes. We need a script to clean this up, then forceibly remove xulrunner from apt's database. My apt (and script)-fu is weak, but perhaps someone has it figured out

I still need to figure out how to uninstall this, How do you install an older version? I dont even remember how I installed it in the first place.

If you get an error with icon theme while running dpkg --purge xulrunner, you can do the following:

• sudo gainroot
• rm /usr/share/icons/hicolor/.icon-theme.cache
• dpkg -r xulrunner
