Hi,

today i switched on my 770 with OS2006 installed and tried to install kismet.
I copied the .deb file I downloaded to the flash card and opened the program manager.
I clicked to "Install file" but in the directory was no application listed.
In file manager I can see all files (.deb) saved.
Double click to a file in the file manager says "unknown filetype".
I don't know what to do. I tried to uninstall some apps, that works. Installing new apps is not possible with GUI.
I tried with x-term (glad that I not deleted that app before). I could get root access (without becomeroot in app-list, strange)...
With dpkg it is possible to install apps and they are listed in program manager.

Any idea what screwed up?
It seems that a reinstallation of OS2006 will be necessary???

I had a similar problem re install OS2006 fixed all my problems.
