I'm running out of space on the root file system. Maybe one of you linux gurus can tell me what do you figure I can safely copy and link over to the internal memory card?

Could I do the whole /home folder?

What's safe to have on a fat32 partition, and what needs to be on a unix partition?

Hmmm... That looks pretty hard-core, but it may very well come to that...

Temporary fix: go file manager, delete unncessary files, user manual, video/audio clips etc, will gain ~80 Mb spaces.

Not a solution, but a workable temp fix.

Be careful deleting user manual. Search the recent upgrade thread.

For some soft porn cloning try:

please, correct me, if i am wrong, but everyone should be warned, that cloning to sd can cause problems when updating maemo os (ssu - seamless upgrades).

You're wrong, it doesn't cause any problems at all.

more info please. Regarding bootmenu/clone to SD etc is user add-on, Nokia would have no business in its maintenance. Is that what you refer to?
    TIA,

I am well aware of that. Thanks for reminding, I should have posted, if you are NOT upgrading at this moment...

A little bit off topic, what is the logic for Nokia doing that, to check for user manual/nokia video clip upon SSU upgrading? To ensure it is a Nokia product? or just plain stupidity

BTW, I am curious to see some "soft porn cloning..." it is clone to SD website you quoted. Kind of wondering what is "porn" referred to?

Yeah.. I ran out of space recently. Not good. Had to re-evaluate what software I have installed. I think Apache is going to have to go. The webcam thing is cute but I rarely use it and that's 15MB
