Hi All,

What is the main difference between N810 & WiMax and how is Skype working in WiFi zone.

My main requirement is Skype, is it working fine on this?

Kindly let me know the likes and dislikes while using Skype.

Thanks,

Krishna

I use Skype on my N800 with wifi. It works as advertised. The NIT version doesn't support video. I've had people I call tell me that the sound quality of the call is better when I call from the N800 than when I call from my laptop.

I use it frequently on my 810 to call friends and family around the world on my home wireless network. The quality is excellent and I have experienced few drop-outs, esp on international calls.

I use Skype, Skype Out on N800. As mentioned above it doesnt support Video. Voice Quality is good. One problem I noticed is, if I try to use anything else like browser, the cpu goes high and call may get disconnected. If I am just using the Skype to call, it works great!

The difference between N810 and N810 WiMax, is that N810 WiMax has an additional WiMAX radio to connect to the new WiMAX service e.g. Sprint Xohm (www.xohm.com)

works but I'm bit tired explaining why I can't turn video on in case that in fact I already have buitin camera
Looks like voice eats less than 20% of cpu time on my connection.
It's better to use headset (as usual) but speaker performance is acceptable (almost no duplex because of enormous echo caused by small size of the device itself).
