Very true, but it leaves me confused. If you know you didn't search well enough, why in the world didn't you search instead of posting anyway? Is making life difficult for other people fun in itself? That's all* that starting duplicate threads accomplishes; now when other people actually use the search, they'll have to look at two threads to find the information.
FWIW, a quick search on web apps using the google custom search right there on the front page returned (in the first page) a thread requesting people to list webapps they found useful, and plenty of useful replies.
*Actually, I lied above: By failing to search, you not only made it harder for others to get all the info on this topic, but also cut yourself out of existing info that's a direct answer to your question. Why do that to yourself?!

I got my first "you should search..." from a senior member on my first post while nursing my 2 week old baby at 2 am.
