Yes, of course i want! I guess i should create a garage project for the plugin, so others can report bugs there. The most important points on my TODO-List are currently: Changing the image-listings to display thumbnail-images and maybe some Meta-Information (Date, Owner, ...) - i tried to figure out how the youtube-plugin creates the fancy video-listings, but i still do not really understand how it works. ;-)

Then i want to add support for caching the metadata in a database, showing metadata (comments, exif-information, ...) in the context-menu of the images, changing the plugin to use canolas downloadmanager, ... - the list of ideas is very long. ;-)

This would be great, the current icon was just created from the tango-icons, only the two colored dots were added. ;-)

    Regards,
    Thomas

I tried the same using my 3G connection, and over here it seems a bit slow though - and so when no wifi is available maybe its better to have some photos stored internally rather than view online.
This is basically what it allready does - the plugin asks Flickr, which images are available in the current context like a photoset and it afterwards checks if there is allready an image with this id in the local download-folder, if there is no image locally, it tries to get the available resolutions from Flickr and starts downloading the files into the local download-folder. So browsing through images which you allready downloaded once over wifi should be relatively fast even over 3G.

A complete offline-mode should be possible too, but this would require a lot of coding work first.

This is a planned feature, i want to add such entries to the contextmenu in the image-viewer, where you currently only have the option about looping the images in the slideshow.

@Chelli: Hey duuude! Thank you again for the flickr plugin. Unfortunately, with the beta10 release it is not working anymore. We introduced some new features which demands a few modifications in the packaging. Take a look on the debian/rules files of our plugins and please let me know if you need anything.

    Best Regards, Etrunko.

I took some time and fixed the debian/rules file and uploaded it to extras-devel for chinook and diablo. I'm sending the patch by mail.

I just decided to postpone the upload a little bit, i would like to finish one important feature before the next release.

Well, the package in extras-devel should work with canola2 beta10, thanks to Etrunko. Before Etrunkos upload i migrated the older version into extras, so this version should continue to work fine with beta9.

Not really, i just work on it if i have some sparetime and if i am in the mood to do some programming.
