    Just install rootsh and then complain about it if you don't like it.

    Well, there's three invocations, one of which is like sudo (with a maximally permissive sudoers file); I actually tend to use sudo to accomplish that one, but it's there.

    OK, rootsh is like gainroot, BUT you get becomeroot and MORE in the same package!

    Thanks guys - I installed rootsh - it works great! For some reason I couldn't find it in "extras bora", but I was able to install it on my n770 through "extras chinook" (running os2007he).
