well so heres an update. after upgrading to 30-2 and having the stuck browser problem, i reverted back. after about a week without it, i gave it another try so i downloaded the updates again and now it seems to work just fine. so anyone who is having issues with 30-2, delete it and re-upgrade. mine works fine now.
Also I'm having problems with Modest once in a while. With the expunged error, and then sometimes it errors out on opening emails. Does anyone also know if Modest can handle HTML emails?
you are gonna have to re-flash back to the 2007 software, then back to 2008. then, check the software updates in apprication manager and let it reinstall 30-2.

Er? No. Just reflashing back to Diablo will cut it. . . .
SSU went (mostly) fine, apart from some out of space errors, which I fixed before continuing the installation. However, I now have an awkward issue where the connection manager thinks it is not connected, in the sense that the icon in the status bar is in the grayed out state. However, it does not list available connections, and it also autoconnects. Very weird behaviour; which I suspect has something to do with the out of space error when installing the icd (IIRC). Any ideas?
Application Manager said that I got problem with update to 4.2008.30.2.
My problem is Application packages missing: kernel - diablo - flasher (=2.6.21 - 200829 maemo1)
So could you tell me how to fix this or install the missing package.
Same problem here. It seems that the file should be in nokia update repository, but the repository is empty. I don't know if there's anything we can do about it but wait it out.
It looks like you did a partial upgrade, including the bit that changes your repositories, but not whatever packages are missing.
So now you need to edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list (from memory, but it's close), and change the SSU repo back to the old release, update whatever packages need done, then point it back at the new SSU repo so you can catch the next SSU.
And make sure you have an osso-software-version-whatever installed, as it sounds like that might have been why your SSU didn't go right.
I would like some assistance with upgrading diablo. Having not recieved any notices about them I ran apt-get update and apt-get upgrade without sucess. Lastly I ran the suggested command included in this forum and received the following messages. Any help to install the upgrade would be appreciated.
/home/user # apt-get install osso-software-version-rx34
