Although romanian beaches are ok this one is the best in my book:
Blue lagoon in Malta

But anyway I prefer the mountains anyday.

Amazing, Omega... when I saw PB's first post, this is exactly the beach that came to mind. I used to love going there and trying to videotape seagulls and the crashing waves ... when I used to live in San Diego. La Jolla Shores, if memory serves.

I have fond memories of La Jolla Cove from going to love-ins there (with Foxy Lady blaring out of mysterious, smoky vans parked nearby), and from the Yippie Invasion of La Jolla, an antiwar protest.

The drive all the way from Oceanside to Pacific Beach along the Coast Highway is one of my favorites, though from Malibu to San Francisco isn't bad either.

I can tell you from experience that beaches are nice when the weather is good, but when a hurricane shows up they're not so great.

Having lived 4 blocks from the beach for most of my life, I really don't care all that much for it. That said, if I had to pick a favorite, it'd be Fort DeSoto's North Beach.
