Looks involved... but also looks like the best chance. I'll need to free up some room on mmc1 for my map data before formatting mmc2 though... =P

There's a bug with the N810's internal memory card. Formatting it should fix the problem. An easy way to format is through the file manager. Open file manager, select 'Internal memory card' then select 'tools' followed by 'format memory card' from the file managers menu. Or you can use e2fsprogs as well.

And I agree with Thesandlord, booting from an external memory card has some advantages. Tho if you don't boot to external SD you can still have a seperate swap partition on your external SD card. I have my external card set up with a 256MB swap partition that works awesome. That way your swap/memory card is not affected if you plug in your USB cable to your computer.
