ha yeah, i saw those photos of yours before (i'm stalking you obviously)...

does it really make it easier to use the stylus? it seems like a lot of work and not so practical.

it wasn't a lot of work really and has been of so much benefit.

holding it comfortably, whether normal or rotated the bezel on the device is just too small for me to use without catching the screen.

when lay in bed reading the size it perfect to rest on my chest and my hand simply keep it in position (whilst thumb remains on next page button), before this I could not get comfy and hold my nokia and turn pages for an extended period without either gorilla arm or catching the screen and jumping, or even worse dropping it.

keeping it safe, im not afraid to handle it just like a book, before I had nowhere safe to leave it without risking knocking it off.

writing, the biggest reason and the one you don't think is worth it.
I write an awful lot with my tablet. writing on a raised surface for an extended period is simply not right, your wrist is held at the wrong angle.

stability, there is also the problem of writing with the keyboard still out - try it - the 810 tips backwards when you place it flat and write on the top half of the screen.

usability, with it in its cradle it sits at the correct angle in front of my monitor - i can press and use the screen without it moving - trying the same with the kickstand I need to hold the device with one hand to stop it sliding.

for the couple of hours work me and my dad put in its been a practical and useful daytime case for my nokia

My wife is a physiotherapist, and she says that watching me use my tablet makes her cringe. She says I'm going to wreck my neck because of the way I bend over the tablet. I think I might pull out the router and carve up a block of wood myself, just so I don't sit so poorly while hacking.

EDIT: I could so totally make one of those hover chairs. It wouldn't be that difficult. But would it be worth the effort?

Yes, straining to read is not good and you should listen to her.

The first version of the crate I did I hacked the first half of the chess board with a screwdriver and hammer.

Hover chairs, i would prefer a hoverboard but if its required I suppose a chair would do

Would it be worth it??
WOULD IT BE WORTH IT????

of course it would be - how many guys do you know that own a hover chair.... one-upsmanship is the foundation of the whole techie universe, without it we'd just be a bunch of nerds running around in circles (and you know how we hate to run).

You'd want to go a step farther then... it should be able to frictionlessly recline and spin. Hmm, a big electromagnet on the base, and smaller ones in the chair. A tether to run the power cable through, and also to keep the chair from slipping off of the magnetic field...

Photographic evidence (what is that, a 95 degree angle?):
