My N800 has battery drain problems, too, sincle Diablo, even with the new SSU.

I have the feeling the culprit is Modest.

Anyway now I have an ipod Touch and use that for most handheld stuff. And leave the N800 off until the issue is fixed.

I've been having the battery draining problem as well - to the point where if I leave my n800 on it is dead by noon. Today I got around to taking a look at top and saw icd2 eating 98%ish of the CPU so I killed it (didn't know about the init script - going to go back and look at that) and the battery has been fine so far. Of course, I am sure my networking won't work without a restart (or using the init script).

Same problem here, but it started yesterday. I reflashed my IT and installed everything, updates and apps. Yesterday my battery died quite quickly. Same today.

The thing is, before I reflashed, I didn't have any problems with the battery. And I had the newest update installed.
So is there a solution for this yet? I read the thread, but didn't find one.

I've also had strange power issues... The desktop now crashes about once every two days, and my battery drain is bizarre. I've had the partial disconnect issue, and the constant search issue (even when I have told the tablet to only connect once an hour.)
I have changed all my software settings for auto-update thins (omweather, rss feeds, etc.) to max values without disabling, and this has helped a little.

Hope we figure out what is causing this. Didn't have this problem before the last SSU anywhere near as frequently.

I am having the same issues - at first i thought the battery wasn't charging because it wasn't seated properly- i folded a biz card in between the battery and the cover which helped for a day or two. but this morning after charging all nite- my n810 gave me the low battery warning after downloading my email .... my desktop crashes several times a day.... it makes me lust after my wife;s ipod touch- it just works

I've recently also started experiencing battery drain. I used to be able to use it for almost two days, now when leaving home with a full charge I hardly get through the day with almost no usage

I first thought it was caused by installing minigpsd but after removal the drain stays...

    Hope this gets fixed

ps -e in xterm is probably a good start, then mark the output and select edit -> copy in the xterm menu. paste either directly here or in a notes file.
