I'm going to be doing a bit of traveling, and I wanted to have a second battery for my n810, and I see some excellent prices for batteries on ebay. The best prices are from China, and I thought I'd check and see if anyone has had good results with any Chinese sellers. I'm naturally somewhat dubious about buying anything via ebay from China though.

There are also inexpensive batteries from Australia. Are those any more likely to be reliable, durable, and non-explosive than batteries purchased directly from China?

I also see off-brand batteries being sold on ebay by access_power in California. They are a bit more expensive ($14.50 instead of $8.00), but are off-brand. Has anyone tried batteries from this seller?

Have any of you had experiences with any batteries from ebay? Any recommendations?

In general, the knockoff batteries are great. I have bought them from several sources over the last few years, and 100% of the batteries I bought worked out ok -- except one that fit too tightly in the battery container and I damaged it getting it out.

If you search my messages, you will find an address of a place that I found reliable. Unfortunately, I have a lot of messages.

I don't like eBay and would stay away from the company because they are idiots and jerks, but the batteries you buy on eBay are fine, as a rule.
