I'm using the built-in email client on OS2008 version 4.2008.36-5. I use an IMAP sever, and I have modest configured to retrieve messages and attachments with the retrieval limit set to the last 200 messages.

The email program went nuts today and wouldn't load. After readong forum postints, re-booting and fiddling with it, I gave up and nuked my account. I re-entered my account information, including the retrieval options above, however the email client appears to have downloaded headers only.

New messages are downloaded as they arrive, per the configuration, but I'd like to have a cache of the most recent 200 messages.

Is there a way to tell modest to retrieve the 200 newest messages like it's configured? (Without manually clicking on each one, of course.)

This works for me - I selected 5 messages and Modest downloaded the bodies of all of them.
