Hey I just read about this site, ubiqq.com Is a really easy way to get videoconference, just open it and it generates a random site. It uses flash to get the camera and the microphone going, and you just send the link to the other person, and you have a video conference.
I tried to get it to work from the tablet, but it doesn't work after I allow the usage of the camera, and I can't see myself from my pc.
Any chance it can be made to work? its really simple to use, so it may be a great tool.
Edit: the chat works, at least it can be used in sittuations were no IM is available. Unlikely, but who knows.

Short Explanation: Nope

Long Explanation: Maybe

So, Flash only works with V4L devices. The camera is a V4L2 device. Thus, flash can't even see the camera! Flash 10 is supposed to support V4L2, but we don't have Flash 10 on the tablet!

There WAS a workaround. It is called "flashcam", search for it. It wrapped a fake V4L device around the camera, so flash could see and use the camera. Sadly, with the latest Diablo, the Flash versions changed, and tz1 can't fix it.

BUT, you can still use the old flash! All you have to do is find the driver from the Chinook, and replace the new one. You can quickly replace the new one to get video, and then put the new one back to get more performance.

whoa. ok, i'll look into it. how about the microphone?
Not sure if it would work anyhow, since I can see myself in the PC, but this image doensn't reach the tablet. I don't think this has to do with that.

that's actually a really nice site. Hopefully someone figures out a way to get this to work. would putting an alternate OS on the tablet enable this functionality?
