There's a post on here by me about how to do this- I had the same issue.

Get a real OS- Linux- and unpack the image, and reflash the parts you need. Surely the device isn't so fubared that you need to reflash all aspects of it? I myself only needed the rootfs.

yea, I saw that, and I saw your post in that thread too. I'm not as savy w/ linux as I'd like to be and to be quite honest, if I knew how to unpack and whatnot, I'd still probably think that would be too much work, considering that we should have something to reflash with *

The linux flasher: http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/d3.php

The flasher will unpack the image into its parts, then from there you can flash what you need. Do you have a spare computer lying around? Perhaps you could install VirtualBox and run a linux virtual machine just for this purpose.

also, email sent! (to Nokia's Tech Support). I pretty much copied mafranklin original post. Lets see what they have to say.
