Size of N810 without the hump and with the screen almost fully covering the surface (1280x...px).

Yeah, N810 size is pretty perfect. BUT as i have short and broad thumbs and tend to press more than one key at a time because of it I opt for a better keyboard. Make the keys easier to press and perhas increase the high difference between the middle of a key and it's edge.Or perhave even devide the keyboard into two sections (similar to "natural" keyborads)

Mesh, OLPC-style, would be awesome!!

And I think it should be a tiny bit bigger with a smaller bezel. And the QWERTY is a must. The bulge of the N810WE really is not noticeable and is no big deal. I'm more concerned about the technology in the next thing, but that's already been discussed ad nauseum!

Same size as the N800, but with N810-style side-firing speakers and a slightly larger display (1024x600, too).

Keep the pop-out camera unless the new camera can't fit in the pop-out stem. Regardless of the camera, the thickness should be the same everywhere as the N800 is at the bulge, to allow for a bigger battery...

I would like that too, but the 800x480 is already very fine, I don't know if a 1024x600 display is doable.
would be a great motivation to upgrade to the next tablet for me!

«n900» hardware base is already done. So you just have to wait for press release) I know that speculations are great but I think there's too much of it these days

Shunjiro Eguchi isn't going to like this, but I got bored and edited N97 a bit. Here is N900 with N97-design and bigger screen and only one button on the front for press+touch combinations (press button+tapping screen for right-click or press+slide for .. brightness). Screen ratio is 16:9 so either 853x480 or 1024x600 , N810's size would be ideal here.

I think the current dimensions of the N810 are just about perfect, but the whole thing could do with being a tad thinner - to the point it fits unobtrusively into a shirt pocket. The thick bezel around the screen could be shrunken, and I bet a keyboardless model could get away with Palm-like thinness. I'm not an anorexic gadget person (I couldn't care less that the new Macbooks are .2 inches thinner than the old ones), but the difference between fitting in any pocket without being seen, and fitting in particular pockets, is a very good matter of functionality.

true this..

i've found the perfect covering for my n810 here

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1209166068246

it doesn fit tightly, but yet it's snug. inside, the surrounding edges are padded xtra, & the whole thing's made of some kind of foam, the n810 survived a stumble down a flight of two marble stairs, unscathed :wheew:.. the case fits the n810, like i fit a nice pair of jeans, not tight, & not too loose.... so the whole thing fit's nice in the same pocket as my mot krzr.
