Ok, so I was just playing this game called Singularity on my laptop, thinking that the Internet Tablet community would enjoy this on their tablets. It is already pretty much done for you, interface-wise, except you need to make sure that it can do windowed mode, and fullscreen at the correct resolutions, and just right. Also try playing it on your computer, you'll realize text input is rare, so you only need some sort of very simple virtual keyboard if at all since the text entries are not required - already filled out.

Oh, and hey go up a level on his site, and you'll realize he has many 2d games that can be ported. I think Dragon Hunt is already.

Sorry about my laziness to get a tablet

problem to report: unable to save game.
when I click on the save game, it does something, then crashes. If I try to open the save file, it crashes right away.

Can you run 'singularity' from xterm and generate the error then post here?

You can also look in /home/user/.endgame/saves too see if the save is valid file.

@ scumgrief: great game... if only the saves worked...

@ pipeline: will try this soon. reproduced the same problem on my windows 2000. the first save I do works well, but the second save is incomplete (save1: 133kb, save2 (later) :49kb.).

I have the impression (not more than that) that this problem occurs if you have too many bases (either overall or in a single location). at the start of the game, it works well. after I have more than 200-300 bases in a single location, I cannot save anymore.

does anyone else have this problem, or is this my bad luck?

I know I'm late, but I'd love to see this working.
