I would suppose that the original poster intended it to be less about functionality and more of a sense of feeling somewhat betrayed by the brand and the promise of the device being 'future proof' (i.e. open-source based) that Nokia kept using in their marketing early on. If Nokia can't make a device that uses open source drivers and open standards to communicate with that hardware, they should at least have the integrity to support their product hardware a bit longer.
