    I would really love to have a full screen flip clock like this.
    If any developer is interested can ask for the numbers pic.
    How hard can be?

    yes I know it could be possible to use a flash but this solution is:
    1. really ugglier than mine
    2. more resource consuming than a native app
    3. it cant manage the alarms
    4. it cant be improved showing for example the battery or the wireless state

    that's exactly what I was thinking but:

    the main reason for my application is to feed my ego and have an application I can stare at my graphics as much as I can
    and
    I like the idea to have a native application to optimize for the device: I know, pretty nerdy attitude

    You could do this with Cairo, won't be too hard, but a great learning experience. If in doubt, start with PyCairo and then move to C to make it a bit faster if you like.
