Upgraded to the new version of the OS today.. CIFS no longer works, I get the message:

Nokia770-39:~# insmod ./cifs.ko
Using ./cifs.ko
insmod: cannot insert `./cifs.ko': Invalid module format (-1): Exec format error

Anyone else?

Not tested CIFS, but can't get NFS to work with the new OS... have used "apt-get install nfs-components", but any attempts to mount an NFS partition result in "no such device" errors. Used to work with the original OS 2006 release, but this was admittedly with the NFS-enabled kernel.

Any CIFS module you downloaded (or any other additional kernel modules for that matter), will need recompiling against the new kernel version.

You may try fanoush.webpark.cz/maemo/cifs.39.tgz I don't have my N770 around so I cannot try if it works.
