I use ext3 for the data integrity, the journaling feature. Since SD cards drop in price and increase in speed and size so quickly, I have replaced my SD card (8GB SDHC) once, at 6 months old, and will do so every 6 months. next time I'll get a 16GB card for internal, and move the 8 to the external slot. For me, my whole life is on my N800, so it's pretty cheap insurance. I can see the time comin when the N800 won't be able to read the newest SD cards, so then I'll stock up on whatever the largest and fastest is that the N800 can deal with. I'm sure someone will one-up the N8x0 someday. Untill then, it's a steady diet of ext3 and a 6 month replacement plan. With Mr. Penguinbaits experience, maybe I'll live on the edge and go to 9 months. Maybe
