...so nobody else has any issues with their camera not working? For some reason, I thought this was a wide-spread issue?

FYI, I just loaded 'camera', opened it and took a shot. No problems except it took a while to move from taking the shot to the picture library. So this app works fine on an N810 with Diablo.

try liqbase http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/liqbase/
it makes extensive use of the camera and lots of folks have tested.
never heard of a problem of the camera itself not working, but some apps you expect to have the camera don't.

Also, here is a video of what's happening with the "Camera" app.
FWIW, I have also tried liqbase and Gizmo with no luck.
Is it possible for the camera to just be dead or would another avenue work? (reinstalling the OS, etc, etc). This really is a bummer...

I am running the latest DIABLO release.
Any suggestions on how to get this thing to work? It will really annoy me if I can never use it. I'm not sure I can send it in for any warranty repair since I got it used on eBay.
