I wonder if someone would have an idea as to how to solve this short of reflashing the tablet ? (I also seem to recall that I have had this behavior for a rather long time (including a couple reflashings) maybe there is a bug in one of the newer OS versions?

anyway any help appreciated.
Hrm, you could test with jott's ledcolour:
http://sse2.net/ledcolor.py

That uses the i2c interface via sysfs to test your led rather than using mce (which uses sysfs anyway albeit in an odd method).

Indeed it works nice.
And about that mce.ini file, I made a backup and edited it.

I edited the /etc/mce/mce.ini and changed the line in section [LEDPatternNJoyRX44]

PatternBatteryCharging=50;4;0;0000;4000257f06ff7f0 041000000;0000
(green led blinking slowly)

to

PatternBatteryCharging=50;4;0;0000;0000;4000257f06 ff7f0041000000
(blue led blinking slowly)

So I see immediately when charging is completed (I kept that green continuously).

Only I don't understand the long hex string '4000257f06ff7f0041000000'. Does this mean 'full intensity' ? What is 'half intensity' ? The half of that number which is '200012BF8....' ?

Hello everybody! I just got my N810, and immediately done a sw upgrade to the latest version. The problem is that after the upgrade the LEDs aren't working anymore. I've downloaded the python script I found on this thread, and the LEDs are OK, but there seems to be something wrong, maybe with the mce.ini file. Has this happened to anyone else, or could someone post their mce.ini file? Thank you in advance.
