Hello!

I have installed sucessfully hamachi on my new N810 (latest firmware) - see Post http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...t=17955&page=1

When I start hamachi as root (1. sudo gainroot , 2. hamachi start) everything is ok.
But I had no success to use hamachi as "normal user" .

I would like to get a solution for two problems:

1.) Start hamachi automatically when I go to internet (as described in Post http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...t=17955&page=2)

2.) Create a shortcut that starts/stops hamachi (as root!)

Thanks all!

1) http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/conler/

2) rootsh+personal menu sounds like it would do the trick.

Thank you for your tip to conler. It´s a nice software, but it seems to go with wifi-ap only.
1.) Does it go with Bluetooth connection to my phone?
2.) Could you give me a code for "hamachi start" as root? I´m not the ultimate linux pro ;-)

Best regards

No, it doesn't. Wi-Fi connections only.

I think it will look like (if rootsh package is installed):
Code:
rootsh hamachi start
Code:
rootsh hamachi stop

You can add a file to /etc/sudoers.d with a single line (and do update-sudoers to refresh the cache) to allow "sudo /usr/bin/hamachi ..." without having to do rootsh - and it will work in things like osso-statusbar-cpu.

I do this for l2ping in my minigpsd app.

@tz1
Thank you very much for your tips!

sudo hamachi start and sudo hamachi stop works great in osso-statusbar-cpu.

Not that I really count them, but you could click the Thanks icon on the message. It also helps to find posts which are more useful.
