Maemo Mapper 1.3.2 will download maps from t-mobile phones using 5.99$ tzones plan with proxy . This is very very good news.
I installed 1.3.2 and it said it failed to update, although it did. I then installed proj, and it also failed to install but it did. It seemed to be working but there was a large area missing from Michigan and the middle of the USA. Is this just me?
Does anyone have any satellite map examples, from terra server?

You get satellite maps, if you replace the LAYERS=DRG part of the terra server uri by LAYERS=DOQ for Digital Ortho-Quadrangles or by LAYERS=urbanarea for some Urban Areas Ortho-Imagery.
I am able to download both topo and satellite maps from Terraserver. However Michigan is missing, just shows up gray, the whole country has big lines of gray through it.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is it a MM problem of how it looks for maps?

Any ideas? Any confirmation?
I get the topo maps of Lansing, Michigan. But other areas are gray. The border between topographical and gray areas occurs inside of tiles, and when I use the url in my seamonkey browser I get the very same results - no server errors.
I don't know yet what conclusions to draw.
It looks like these maps are simply not available! Try the terraserver applicaton - the whole country is only partially covered.
Yesterday I searched through the forum about POI, downloaded winpoi, gpsbabel, and some other software, googled for ~"finnish poi files" and found quite a few sites offering all kinds of gps stuff, poi files in various formats, downloaded some, tried various ways of converting them (for instance gpsbabel->google earth -> winpoi -> maemo mapper) but unfortunately did not get it to work.
Sincerely hope this will be possible sometimes in the near future...
Great work! I'm really impressed with the rapid evolution of this extremely useful program! I'll be making another donation to help support development.
I suppose you get a lot of feature requests. Here's one which I'd like to see: The ability to save elevation data in the tracks. If I could be able to generate profiles with that data, (using some online gpx profile site like utrack.crempa.net) I think I'd be set.
hi, i tried up grading to the latest version of mm & got this message that says i need Libsqlite0 (>=2.813). searched for but couldn't find it. does any one have a link to it? also has anyone had problems using the link gnuite provided to use in the application manager catalogue? i can't refresh at all. thanks

Elevation data should already be being saved in tracks, as of Maemo Mapper v1.3. Is it not working for you?

I had tried uploading that library to the extras repository, but it didn't take, at least not completely. The library is there (click here to download libsqlite0), it's just not in the repository's directory, for some reason.
by the by, i can download images for MM using my proxy server, and setting it for use in the connectivity settings. MM uses the proxy, but i did get a few errors about the url being formatted incorrectly. will have to test without the proxy.
