This is very strange. Did you really delete this file from the broken image? Maybe omweather are not source of your problem. Try to rename the directory /home/user/.osso/hildon-desktop/ in the broken filesystem.
I had a chance to try that renaming idea. Same result, except that the desktop now looked "virgin" and stayed up maybe few seconds longer before the screen flashed and system rebooted.
I can't point at OM Weather being the culprit with any certainty, except that the reboot loop began after the program (+ stations) update. Of course ideally Maemo (latest Diablo here) would be a bit more resilient to such issues.
If you can't think of anything else OMW-related potentially causing the desktop to go into panic mode I'll just cut my losses and rebuild my setup.

I think Omweather is not the source of your problem.
Remove wrong station and add your station in settings window .Vlad.
How do I add new locations to the database? There are a lot of places I would like to retrieve weather but the database is (understandably) only a small selection.
I can see the files in /usr/share/omweather/db/weather_com and I have the data downloaded from weather.com for some other stations, but I'd rather not have to add them manually to locations.list and then recalculate all the offsets in countries.list.
Earlier versions of omweather let you add new locations manually, but the current one doesn't seem to have that feature.

I am trying to setup OMWeather on my N900 and I can't seem to configure a Station.
It says source: mismeteo.ru (should I put other, which one?)
And then I input Country: USA, Region: Connecticut, but then for City I don't have a list to choose from and whatever I put there (New York, New York City, etc) it just doesn't accept it.
I have installed the OMWeather database, my time is correct.

Now it's working and looks super on the N900 !!
