Hello guys. I have some problems with the apache server....
I had tried to install it, the installation was fine, but when I edit
the
/usr/htdocs/test.php

with the following code : <?php phpinfo() ?>

althought when I try on browser 127.0.0.1 it displays the text
"it works"

something is missing, but I can't figure it out....plzzzz some help!!!

The "It works" text comes from the /usr/htdocs/index.* file IIRC, so you either have to edit that one or go to http://127.0.0.1/test.php

at the 127.0.0.1/test.php it doesn't "runs" the appropriate logo of php... instead, it shows the code like a common txt file...
I think that I'm missing something about configuration (but I don't know what to do)

My prime "objective" is to have php and mysql together in a project that I run. Is there this possibility? (anything alternative?)

Do you have PHP installed on the tablet?
If so, it seems that the issue is simply one of configuring Apache to use PHP, just like you would do on any normal server. Check the Apache/PHP documentation for this.

I figured out a solution.... I installed lighttpd which has built in php support (so I don't need any library like libapache2-php.
Anyway I now the server with php works.... (php works fine )
BUT!!! now I have an other problem... I found out that I also don't have php5-mysql library.... I couldn't find anythink like this...
So I have..... a web server without database support, which is undesirable... ANY IDEAS???

Hijacking an old thread: I can confirm that Apache works fine on the N900 as well, since someone (possibly facetiously) told me it would be a killer feature. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orBKkl6x-II
