strange behavior found in menu - I have tap three times to get next level dropped

this is not about my screen or else - nowhere else this happiness

just only in Qalculate! - after first tap menu item becomes white, after second white color disappears, and after third level opens

looks very annoying...

Yeah, the first level drop down is a bit laggy for me too - will be better when converted to Maemo style.

Regarding the need for brackets, that's life I'm afraid.

I would say that the way Qalculate does it is the reasonable way. The exponent should take precedence over the multiplication, and I would expect "12 in^2" to be "12 square inches" by default.

I am using it on the N900. The screen does not
fit 100%. I cannot see the results of the calculation.

You need to turn off the display of of the "keypad".

If someone would like to make the interface better I'm all for it.

I also see there has been a recent bugfix release which might be worth updating too. I am pretty busy atm so if anyone fancies doing this then then please do

Noticed today that Qalculate on repos in 0.9.6 - released in 2007.

Qalculate on sourceforge is on 0.9.7 - released early this year.

Has the new one been compiled for maemo yet or development stopped.

I use Qalculate on my desktop all the time and it is really nice program. Maybe new porting is needed

Afaiu it's only a bug fix, but certainly if someone would like to create a new deb you have my blessing, and even more so if you can improve the UI

I am not sure if I got this app in my N900 from repo or just a deb file from somewhere but it doesn't work well. It has a input screen but calculation and outputs are not shown anywhere when = is pressed. Can anyone make it working properly in N900? Thanks!
