Hi.
I have a little problem. I disable metalayer-crawler, but still if i put my memory cards in to card slots, then my battery is drained very fast (24h). So i try to umount cards and it is working, no more battery problem(5 days or more...). I make a some shortcuts with personal launcher on my N800 desktop, but i want something more sophisticated. Is some way to do umount /dev/mmcblk0p1 , when i am going to OFFLINE MODE ? Sorry, my english is'nt best. Thanks for a help, or correction of my english

checking your cards for errors would help better. You are trying to cure the symptoms not the disease

I.e. if you run xp try rightclicking on your card, go to properties, tools, check for problems, tick the "automaticaly fix errors" and go
same for the second card

Alternatively you could chkdsk /f driveletter: in the command line

or fsck if you run linux.

Usually power drain with cards on means errors on one/both cards

Entering or leaving offline mode is announced on DBUS, so you can use the dbus-scripts package to run you script. Install this package and then create a file called /etc/dbus-scripts.d/dbus-flight containing:

/usr/local/bin/flight.sh * * com.nokia.mce.signal * flight
/usr/local/bin/normal.sh * * com.nokia.mce.signal * normal

And those scripts will be executed upon entering/leaving offline mode.

Will a "format" of these cards solve that problem (i.e. fix the card errors)? With fsck, will those errors be repaired without needing a format? I just formatted both of mind on my PC, and then reinserted them, it seems to have made a difference, but I would love to repair them natively on the n800 -- sure saves a lot of mess.
