The newest version is having problems on a WiMax edition 810. Both screens are blank (works fine on an n800 and a non-wimax n810).

Note that most commands for wireless inquiry will go wimax0 first or as a default device, then wlan0.

I had to throw something in one of my personal /etc/init.d scripts.

On the RX-48 (wimax), if you do "rmmod pc2400m", it will remove wimax0. You can then reinsert it from /mnt/initfs/lib/modules/2.6.21-omap1/pc2400m.ko and it wimax0 will appear AFTER wifi0 and wifiinfo will work normally.

I (the author) have uploaded a new version (0.7) that should fix the WiMax problems (at least tz1 has tested it :-)). Can anybody who can connect to Wimax test if WifiInfo -d wimax0 (called from terminal) does show anything senseful? Since I do not have a WiMax version nor have access to a WiMax network I cannot test if it does use the wireless linux kernel API. If it does support the API I could make the first page switchable between networks.

Btw., the main menues will be worked on in a future version of the underlying libIllumination.

Instead of PayPal some good comments on www.maemo.org/downloads would help, too :-)

Thanks...Tim!

While I cannot connect to WiMax in my area (yet) to test the API, I can confirm that the 0.7 version now opens the wifi interface on my 810 WiMax ed. and gives me readings. Thanks for the update!

No problem. Thanks to tz1 for analysing the cause of the problem!

P.S.: Menues should now work better in the next version (realy soon now)...

Gruß...Tim
