A working version of TrueCrypt (yeah, I know Truecrypt 4.3 is already ported, but there are lots of bugs...).

A working, simple, GUI version of TrueCrypt that's .deb-installable.

I haven't used it yet, but isn't that what Streamripper does?

Well the simple Python frontend accomplishes #2 and #3; it is already deb-installable, just needs polishing.

#1 on the other hand is a mess

Not in its present form. It doesn't do playlists so you can only play one file at a time. You have to navigate to the file you were listening to each time you start it up. It does bookmark, and it is probably OK for a podcast (single file), but it is not appropriate for an audiobook which is usually lots of little files. (If you have ever lost your place in an audiobook, you will quickly see the reason for lots of little files).

A port of HFPhttp://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=18868 which works with the N8x0s audio system. compilation works, but gets upset with the audio.

FM radio, and better internet radio support in Canola (mediaplayer is far better, but far uglier!)

    Yabasic (http://www.yabasic.de/) and/or wxBasicscript aka PuppyBasic (http://noforum.de/wxBasicscript-docu...ript/index.htm).

Two options for wannabee programmers who lack the initiative, energy or capacity to learn a real programming language.
