I did have a problem trying to buy a 770 at CompUSA last week. The online page said they were in stock but a clerk said they were not. Now the website says the inventory checker isn't real time so next morning it was refreshed, said it was in stock, I went in first thing and the guy said it was out of stock again. So I questioned him and he said "Let me try this second SKU #" -- and behold, it was in stock.
For some reason the tag for it on the display had two different SKU numbers. And if you do a search for nokia 770 on compusa website it shows it twice, each one with a different SKU. I can't see any difference between the two either.

Same here, 2 WSOD in as many weeks, if the damn thing wasn't so useful when it's working, I'd given up on the product by now. My 3rd one is coming Tuesday, hopefully 3's a charm, not sure I can take another WSOD! Nokia does need to own up to this problem though.

If you find yourself rebooting your unit this often (enough to cause a white screen) you might want to look into how you are using it. It's a linux based device. There is very limited reasons to turn it off / reboot / restart it.

Regardless, rebooting something shouldn't cause it to fail even if it doesn't need to be rebooted often. Hopefully it is just a bad batch of vid chips that got out and not a design flaw, really wish someone from Nokia would own up to the problem and at least let us know why it happens. When I ask that question directly to tech support I got no response, just the standard reflash it and if that didn't work send it in. Gee thanks Nokia for that exceptional response...NOT!
