The tablet saves battery power by delaying between starting a scan for WiFi and when you 1st start you have to wait for the access points to announce themselves.

At the moment my n810 take a lot of time to connecting with wifi, and when it's connecting you can't use it (it doesn't work! it seems completely locked for many seconds! 20 secs!). Is it normal?
    Thanks

Here I am. I timed the startup time (from you press the power botton until the home desktop appears) = 40 secs. I disabled wifi auto connection, so there isn't the problem I talked about. Something to speed up startup time?
    Thanks

The most probable cause is metalayer-crawler. It runs at startup to rebuild the media player database and eats a lot of cpu.
You can disable it by deleting /etc/rc2.d/S99metalayer-crawler0
media player won't have the collection updated anymore and may even show an empty collection, but you'll be fine using canola or mediabox and mplayer instead.
