What follows is just speculation...

I've been reading this morning about the new Symbian 3 reference platform, the TI Zoom 2, and couldn't help but notice how similar it is to the expected RX-51 (or N900, or RX-71, or whatever...).

Notice the linux support, HDMI port (AND video out), 8Mp camera, capacitive screen, etc... I'd assume the new NIT(s) won't get all the same features (given the Zoom 2's $1150+ price), but the basics all line up.

SO... are any of these more exotic features likely to show up on the new NIT(s)? I'm dreaming of the audio I/O jack and dual microphone inputs, but what jumps out at you?

Finally, is there any reason future hardware will have to differ from Symbian hardware?

There's been some previous discussion of this device in "Development baord: Beagleboard alternative .. for the rich!" and "Look its a TI N900".
