You're...in...Japan!? Dude, I am so epically jealous of you. I've wanted to go to Japan for ages.
Yeah I got a job with an English academy here. Despite with how riddled with typos my posts might be I am teaching English here. Getting here was kind of a sudden thing; I applied at the school on a lark and then a week later I was having a phone interview, three days later they scheduled me for a face to face interview and then three months later I was on a plane from Seattle (where I trained for a week) to Tokyo.
I do have to admit that my Japanese isn't very good yet so it has been an interesting situation going from being an educated person to being functionally illiterate. I had a minor victory the other day when I realized that I could actually read the train stop schedule. One step at a time though.
