It seems that Nokia is sponsoring TED, a conference that features talks by the worlds foremost thinkers in their respective fields. Yadda, yadda, yadda. At the end of a talk that I just watched, I noticed that there was a cryptic ad featuring balls. No, you pervert, not those kind, but spheres. The ad features ethereal music with a solitary coloured ball attracting monochromatic balls with various patterns on a black background. This happens for a while, until finally the coloured ball ascends into a white circle where the other balls follow. The next scene shows that all of the balls are coloured and pulsating...

Yeah, I don't get it either.

Have a look using the link below:
    http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/m...oral_reef.html

The talk is, AAIMO (As Always, In My Opionion) excellent, but you can skip to the end if you would just like to see the ad. You may not want to sit on this, as the sponsored ads change frequently!

What do you think it means? I'm stumped.

Maybe it has something to do with touchscreens? The balls are the pixels?

I'm wondering if it's sexual after all.

I think they represent voices, as expression of human entity.

I think it's an art piece. Reminds me very much of the last time I was in Stockholm.......

Here's their old TED commercial in case anyone missed it and wanted to see it:

It's a much more traditional one for N-Series "4th screen" though

It has been around for some time now. It's an art film made for the E71.
Watch it here (to see also credits etc.): http://www.universaleverything.com/282

It's an amazing piece of work.

You can see the other art films made for the E71 check here: http://www.nokia.co.uk/e71

    Haha! Good find!

I watched all of the videos. My rating? Ker-azy. I suppose I'm not an art-ist...
    Enjoyable, though.

Why Nokia would advertise with this piece is beyond me. For goodness sake, it took a forum collaboration just to find out what the h311 it was advertising!
