    Hello,
    I installed Navit on my n810 but installing new maps is quite difficult: I downloaded a map from navit website ( an Openstreetmap), now I'm looking for edit navit.xml file, but I don't understand how can i edit it...Anyone can help me?

    You can use any text editor, I use leafpad. The default file will have some examples in it. Just copy one of the example and replace the map location with your maps location and name. If you have a gps running, it should find your position on the map after a minute or whenever your gps gets a lock. Otherwise, you need to replace the default location lat and long numbers with number that will show up on your map.

    Ok, thank you, but my first problem is: where can I find navit.xml? I didn't find it!

    I believe you can find the default copy in:
    /usr/share/navit

    I think there is another copy somewhere?? I forget though. Do read through this thread http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...858#post281858

    Lots of good info there and links to several more resources. I'd start with the last 6-8 pages perhaps as they have the most recent info.
