Am I the only one who HATES this entirely.

Yeah, I like the maemo upgrade, but ITT was fine. I prefer the old version, will other themes be available besides minimalistic.

OMG I HATE THIS, I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH.

The search button has now a sub menu may be add a space bar to make it practical for search, searching is one area some people tend to avoid so it should be made to stick some where more visible as possible like google does it

microb on my n800. see how the "Talk Menu" makes me a benny19 and hides most of the emoticons. zoom is 100%.

Maybe you can be more specific on why you hate it. Is it the color scheme, speed, etc. I guess the main question is, how can we make you like it.

Actual choice of colors is an ergonomic nightmare, it strains the eye to no end.
Please, do not use light orange over a light yellowish background.
Grey text isn't precisely a great choice, too.

Please, always use colors with big luminance contrast for text. Do not use light text over a light background, or dark text over dark backgrounds.

Also, consider using this online tool during the design of your page.

I assume all the orange text is a carry through of the orange "e" in Maemo.org.
Actually a dark brown has better visability.
