Ok, so I followed the instructions and now I boot off of the internal 2gb drive that I partitioned into 2 1gb chunks (one vfat so windows can see it). Two odd side effects: I can no longer choose something on the boot menu, it always boots straight to the internal card, and I can't seem to access that little 256mb space anymore - tried at mtdblock4 and nothing seems to be there. It seems to have gone poof! df doesn't show anything obvious lurking around either.

Is it gone for good? O_o hope not.

You're mounting it properly?

Something like: "mkdir /mnt/flash && mount -t jffs2 /dev/mtdblock4 /mnt/flash" always works for me.

awesome, worked great.

Do you know if it's dangerous to wipe that drive? And if it's not, where would I put it if I wanted this to be mounted every time upon boot? I heard that fstab doesn't work on maemo or something.
